JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager of the Operating Room plans and provides clinical support to patients and staff. He/she provides clinical leadership, financial and personnel management within the department. The OR Nurse Manager ensures the efficient management of the surgical schedule planning for appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and staffing. In addition, he/she participates in quality improvement processes. The OR Nurse Manager participates in establishing goals and objectives for the department. Assumes Director of Nursing responsibility of the Center in the absence of the Director or Nursing.
