JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Technician operates radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by the physician and performs routine diagnostic procedures. The Radiology Technician maintains and uses equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body on X-ray film or fluoroscopic screen for diagnostic purposes. As a member of the surgical team, he/she works in a sterile environment, maintaining the surgical field through aseptic practices and works cooperatively with ancillary departments and other team members.
